Hi, I’m Kelly Carnes. I began my creative journey working as a graphic designer in agency settings, on everything from advertising to video game design. In 2017, I set off on my own as a branding designer and illustrator, and worked in that capacity for five additional years.

In 2020, the pandemic hit and I moved into a new house with my partner Matt and cat Deacon. We live in a unique community surrounded by forests and nature. When we added our dog Geordi to the family in 2021, I spent even more time outside on the trails. This quickly fueled an obsession with native and invasive plants as well as an interest in becoming more self-reliant and growing food.

I still love design, particularly iconography, but I’m also currently obsessed with the Notion app and creating useful dashboards and databases for it. I share these through Gumroad.

I’m also incredibly passionate about tackling the climate crisis and hope to use my creative background and skillset to create and communicate solutions to others interested in making a difference.
